22213767, Peter ROGERS, served with the Colours from 09 March 1951 until 09 March 1956. During this period he served in Egypt with No. 3 and Support Companies. On discharge, he worked in the building trade in Sandwich, Kent.
In August 1956, he was recalled to the Colours for the Suez crisis. During that time he served in the 3rd Battalion. He arrived back in Southampton on 31 December 1956, travelled to Brookwood and was demobbed at Pirbright. He went back to the building trade for the remainder of his working life.
Peter retired on 18 September 1968, aged 65, and lived in Sandwich.
He passed away on 06 May 2022, and is survived by his widow, Eileen, who he married on 09 March 1963.
Peter was an extremely loyal, and long standing, member of the East Kent Branch of the Grenadier Guards Association and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to have known him.
