2623216 Mr Jim Wain 4th Bn Grenadier Guards, 6th Guards Tank Brigade.

It is with great sadness we report the death of Mr James (Jim) Wain who recently celebrated his 100th birthday a milestone in itself and was one of our few surviving Second World War veterans, our thought are with his family, friends and the staff at the care home that took such great care of Jim.

We thank him for his service in our Great Regiment and may he rest in peace.

Funeral details will be announced when they are known.
