The Regimental Band, celebrating the liberation of Belgium 80 years ago

🎶 Join us on September 12th for a unique Cenotaph Requiem Concert in Bruges. On 12th September 2024, the Grenadier Guards, will travel to Bruges, their birthplace, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Belgium’s liberation in 1944. This special event honours those who sacrificed their lives during World Wars I and II, keeping their memory alive and supporting related charities.

For this significant occasion, a Cenotaph Requiem Concert will be held at the Bruges Concert Hall, featuring the Band of the Grenadier Guards, the Brussels Philharmonic, the Flemish Radio Choir, and the Flanders Boys Choir. The work was written in 2018, to mark the 100th Anniversary of the end of the First World War, by BAFTA award winning composer, Simon Haw MBE.

All proceeds will support charities enhancing UK-Belgium relations, including the Colonel’s Fund, the Royal Belgian Benevolent Society, Talbot House, the Guards’ Museum, the Royal Archery Guild of Saint Sebastian, and Shout at Cancer.
