It is with great sadness we report the death of 99 year-old World War 2 Veteran Mr Barney Cresswell who served in the 1st Battalion as a Lance Sergeant having enlisted as a Grenadier in 1943, our thoughts are with his family and friends at this very sad time.

We thank him for his service in our great Regiment and may he rest in peace.
