Funeral of 19117219 John Frost
13 June 2019
Grenadiers,
It is with great sadness that we report the death of our Vice President and longest serving member of the Bristol Branch, 19117219 John Frost.
Before he was demobilised in 1948, John took part in the 1947 King's Birthday Parade which was the first Parade to be held after WWII, where those on parade wore 'battle dress', rather than Bearskin and Tunic. Upon leaving the Regiment John joined the Bristol Constabulary and rose steadily through the ranks before retiring at the rank of Chief Inspector.
John was held in very high regard by his friends and colleagues in both the Grenadier Guards Association and the National Association of retired Police Officers, and he was a man of impeccable principles and one not to shy away from speaking his truth. He will be missed by all at the Bristol Branch.
All Grenadiers are invited to John's funeral held at South Bristol Crematorium, Bedminster Down, Bristol, BS13 7AS, at 1115hrs on Tuesday 2nd July, and afterwards at Woodspring Golf Club.

Regards,
?
