GUARDS PARACHUTE COMPANY (GPA) MEMORIAL UNVEILING

Grenadiers,

A Service of Commemoration and Unveiling of the GPA memorial statue took place at the National Memorial Arboretum on Friday 8th October 2021.

It was by all accounts an absolutely outstanding day and will be long remembered by everyone that attended. For those who were unable to attend and as a keepsake for those that did, please see the link below to a video took on the day.

The service was led by the new GPA Honorary Chaplain, The Reverend Canon Alan Hughes MBE TD, himself a former Coldstreamer, who spoke so powerfully in memory of all members no longer with us. The GPA President, Colonel Simon Falkner OBE The Life Guards gave a most meaningful bible reading and the GPA founder, Major General Sir Robert Corbett KCVO, CB Irish Guards spoke from his heart with words that made everyone proud.

Joe Farrell, using that marvellous RSM of the SG voice he possesses, made sure the Act of Remembrance resonated with all who had the privilege to be there
